First of all, thank you for your interest in learning Muay Thai with us, as a small family business, we absolutely appreciate you and we are very excited to show you the amazing health and fitness benefits of the world’s most effective striking Martial Art!
Your First Muay Thai Class!
Start time:
Class starts at the scheduled time, however, it is very important for you to arrive 15 minutes early for your first class. Anyone late, may not be able to train due to class structure and the American Boxing 1st Class Process that is necessary to ensure the best possible experience for everyone!

What to bring:
- water
- wear weather appropriate workout attire (always clean and odor free)
- sun-block is suggested
- hat and sunglasses can be worn during “most” parts of training
- bring a hand towel for sweat
- bring a yoga mat or beach towel to lay on for conditioning exercises
- wear running shoes and bring boxing, wrestling or cross-traing shoes IF you have them
- make sure finger AND toe nails are cleaned and well groomed (for Muay Thai, toe nails may not extend past the tip of the toe) If you have ANY signs of nail fungus or athletes foot, your bare hand or foot may not be exposed to our equipment or other students
- bring any boxing or kickboxing equipment you have
- bring a mask and a backup (When there is face to face interaction or direct contact, a mask may be required, otherwise we are mask free to enjoy the clean fresh air, during training.)
Covid/Illness Policies:
- You will be asked how you are feeling today and if you have been around anyone recently that has been sick. Honesty is expected.
- Your temperature “may” be taken upon arrival. If you have a fever, you will not be able to train.
- If at “any time” you show any symptoms of possible illness, such as coughing, sneezing, runny nose, etc, you “may” be asked to put on your mask or to leave and reschedule. (Allergies are no exception.) It is VERY IMPORTANT that you are feeling 100% before leaving your home.
- Hand sanitizer will be available and is required prior to using American Boxing equipment.
Please reschedule if you’ve been around anyone sick in the past week, have any symptoms (including but not limited to allergy associated symptoms such as coughing, runny nose etc.) or you feel unwell at all.
Cancellation and Rescheduling (!)
Any class, “free” or paid, may be refunded or rescheduled, free of charge if cancelled or rescheduled at least 24 hours before the class start time. (No exceptions.)
If you secure one of our limited spots (Only 2 spots are available for first timers) (“Free” or not!), you are expected come train, or to show respect and cancel buy text message, as soon as possible, to allow your spot to be given to another member or prospect.
The following are the fees associated with not arriving for your class and not cancelling per industry standard guidelines. (Free or Paid Classes)
Late Cancel Fee (Less than 24 hour notice): $15 fee charged to your account.
No-Show Fee (you do not notify us prior to class start time): $25 fee charged to your account.
All notifications are by text to 858.581.2694
Anyone performing charge-backs on these fees or simply not paying their fees will have their name added to a database available to all gyms and the public, you will have a balance owed to American Boxing and your credit history may be affected.
Training Location:
2600 De Anza Rd. 92109 on Mission Bay.
We are adjacent to a large public parking lot.
You will typically see the red American Boxing tent, next to a black fence, by the water, about 100 yards West of the bathrooms, playground and pavilion, on the bike/jogging path, on a large slab of concrete next to the bonsai tree.
