Jose is an amateur Muay Thai fighter born and raised in San Diego California. Beginning Boxing on and off from 13 years old, Jose began Muay Thai at the age of 17 with San Diego Undisputed Coach Scotty Dingas and Team Quest Quest Coach Ed Buckley. Jose was part of the 1st Generation of the Undisputed Muay Thai Team. After having a couple in-house smoker fights with Team Undisputed, in 2008 Jose sought out Coach Dave at American Boxing in the hopes to find the next level of Muay Thai and take his training and fight career out of San Diego into the National and International scene.
After 2 years of adapting to the style difference of American Boxing, Jose began his ascension in the California and International Muay Thai Community fighting opponents from some of the best MMA and Muay Thai schools in the USA, including Alliance Training Center, Blackhouse, Team Oyama, City Boxing, CSA and more.
Jose has fought for some of Americas biggest Muay Thai promoters such as Stand-Up Promotions at Commerce Casino (One of the USA’s largest Muay Thai Promotions) and multiple times with the WCK with an amateur highlight to date in Las Vegas for the huge annual WBC sanctioned event “CHINA vs. USA”!
In 2011 with his first Muay Thai fight with elbows, Jose received his Brown Belt with Muay Thai University.
